How to upload your site to host server: Bravenet
-
Go to Bravenet
-
On the right side of the home page, under the title FREE Web Hosting press more info.
-
Bravenet wants you to buy the Basic/Premium Hosting Package but you want the FREE Hosting Package, so click the Sign Up button in that category for completely FREE.
-
To have the ability to host your own web site on Bravenet you must be a Bravenet member, so this is the time to join. Click the Join Bravenet Now button.
-
To become a Bravenet member fill out the form as I did. Of course, you must fill in your own details! Then click the Send me my Password button. Pay attention that you MUST provide a valid e-mail address!
-
Access your e-mail account, and wait for the Bravenet Account Confirmation e-mail. In the figure below you can see that I hid my temporary password with question marks, but you will get a password that you can read and use.
-
Now, that you have a username and password you can log onto (login) Bravenet. You can login by clicking the link in the
Bravenet e-mail or from the www.bravenet.com home page. Fill in the two text fields and click the Log me into my account button.
-
The first thing you have to do as a Bravenet member is to change your temporary password for security purposes. Enter your new password twice and click the Set Password button.
-
You will get another e-mail from Bravenet with your new password - keep it.
-
To complete your registration you are asked to fill out the following form, but you can skip this form and click Finish instead and proceed to the Bravenet Members Area.
-
At Bravenet your site name is a sub-domain, so you must set one up. I chose saxophone4all but you must enter your own site name and click Setup Free Hosting button.
-
If your site name is not in use by someone else, Bravenet will announce to you that the sub-domain name you entered is yours. Click Use This Subdomain. You will be directed to the Website Hosting Account Manager page.
-
You will get another e-mail from Bravenet.com with details regarding website hosting in your account - keep it!
